Welcome to Shanghai My name is Maggie. Shanghai is a city I know intimately, as this is the city where I was born. I have breathed her air, walked her streets, seen her sights for as long as I can remember. This metropolis defines me. Currently I am a student studying English in Shanghai. I speak English fluently and passionately - especially when I am talking about my city. In addition to English and because I am a local Shanghai girl, I speak Shanghainese so that I can more easily accommodate a client's needs in the city. |

My work experience reflects my interests. During my college years, I started working as an artist/manager in Art Spot Productions/Advertising Entertainment Group in charge of actor & actress public activities such as press releases. I am also the English interpreter for the leading actress Silvia (who is from Bulgaria) in a TV program called Shanghai Solution. I was a translator for "The Oriental Morning Post" and "The Shanghai Fashion Times", working on current articles for worldwide prestigious fashion magazines & newspapers. |
| As a movie enthusiast, in December 2005, I attended the Shanghai University's English DV Production Company competition which was sponsored by Lingo Bingo.net. The Digital Video which
I directed, produced, and starred in "Complicated", won first prize. I have the "Advanced Interpreter Certificate," and in addition
to my high language abilities, I have had many opportunities to gain interpretation experience. I worked as an interpreter for a Hanover, German
Corporation in the 2004 Asia CeBIT Exhibition as an English MC. Also, in the 2005 Shanghai F-1 Racing Competition (October 15th and 16th ),
I was an corporate interpreter for VIP guests from SHELL Co. Holland . I am interested immensely with coming into contact with
different perspectives on life and sharing a truly international experience with my clients, as they have come to Shanghai in order to
do just that. I love my city, as I love the world, and Shanghai truly gives all the world has to offer--in one place. I vigorously
strive to show my love for my city to all who may come here. Languages: Mandarin Chinese, Shanghainese, English, French, and
